Sales Engineer
Job Function
Perform Sales Application Engineering duties, including but not limited to:
- Build & foster positive customer relationships
- Maintain strong positive relationships with company representatives & agents
- Provide needed information to customers & company representatives on product, applications, & installations
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the marketplace, conditions, & competition
- Participate in trade shows
- Visit customer sites
- Troubleshoot equipment & installation concerns
- Prepare & present technical product information as needed
- Provide engine data, technical specifications, & drawings to facilitate quoting & recommendations
- Mentor & train sales personnel
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Engineering
- Proficient & confident in the use of technology, including computers, software (including the Microsoft Office Suite), & other office equipment
- Appropriate grasp of advanced math skills & English business language skills, both verbal & written
- Professional presentation & meeting management skills
- Strong process facilitation, problem solving, & analytical skills
- High degree of attention to detail & accuracy
- Willingness to question veracity of information
- Ability to problem-solve
- Appropriate grasp of world geography
- Ability to read drawings & apply data
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year

Education:
- Bachelor’s (Required)
Experience:
- Sales: 3 years (Preferred)
- Mechanical engineering: 3 years (Preferred)
Willingness to travel:
- 25% (Preferred)
